To many, the concept of making a New Year's pledge at the intitiation of Fall might sound a bit abnormal-after all, this is exactly the time of year when things are about to sleep and perish. Still, while enlisting in a Los Angeles karate group the very first thought that comes to mind is rebirth. The plants are being peeled of their leaves in preparedness for the cold months to come.
